Authorities across Florida and Georgia are actively pursuing 38-year-old Isabelle Rose Johnson, who faces a murder charge following the discovery of human remains in a shallow grave. The investigation centers on the case of Jason Christopher Coulthart, 43, whose body was uncovered on June 25 on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida. Investigators determined that Coulthart had been buried beneath a layer of concrete with a black Cadillac parked directly over the site.
Discovery and Investigation Details
Coulthart, a New Jersey native and father to a 20-year-old son, was first reported missing on May 24 after leaving the College Condominiums on East College Boulevard in Niceville. According to an arrest report released by law enforcement, Niceville police received specific information regarding the location of the body on June 25. The lead was subsequently transferred to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, which holds jurisdiction over the property.
Investigators executed a search warrant that evening and located Coulthart's remains. A large white zip tie was found tied around his neck. An arrest report notes that a witness informed law enforcement he knew Johnson had been attempting "to get rid" of a man because he was "aggravating and irritating her." The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed these details as part of the ongoing criminal investigation.
Suspect Description and Flight Risk
Isabelle Johnson remains at large, and investigators believe she may be hiding in Habersham County, Georgia, an area she frequents. Law enforcement agencies also suspect she could be traveling through Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida or lower Alabama. Authorities report that Johnson relies on multiple aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and "Denise." She is known to use fake personal hardship stories to secure money and rides.
Authorities suspect she may have recently cut and dyed her hair to disguise her appearance. Johnson is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds with brown hair. Five other individuals have already been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact in connection with the homicide, as reported by Primicias.
Community Appeal for Information
In a July 16 post on Facebook, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office addressed Johnson directly, stating, "Justice is coming. Isabelle. Harley. Jessica. Whatever you’re calling yourself now. Turn yourself in. Enough is enough." The department also shared a message from Coulthart's family, asking people to remember him as their son, Timothy’s big brother, and a father.
