These are the standards Civic Coast News uses to decide what it publishes and how.

Sources

• We prioritize official and institutional sources, and established outlets with a verifiable track record.
• We link to or name the source of the information whenever possible.
• We do not attribute to any person a title, a family relationship or an official act that the source does not explicitly support.

Verification

• We check the core facts of every story (who, what, where, when) before publishing.
• If a fact cannot be confirmed, it is not published as fact.

Updates

Developing stories are updated as new information becomes available. Every story shows its last update date.

Advertising and sponsored content

Advertising is visually labeled and kept separate from editorial content. No advertiser decides our coverage.

Using our content

Our content is freely accessible and may be quoted and summarized, including by automated systems, as long as the original story is linked as the source.
