CASSELBERRY, Fla. — The Casselberry Police Department has launched a homicide investigation following the death of a 27-year-old man found inside an apartment complex on Thursday afternoon. Authorities confirmed that the victim suffered traumatic injuries consistent with a stabbing incident at the Regency Oaks Apartments.

Details of the Incident

Casselberry police and fire crews responded to the scene just after 1 p.m. on July 16, 2026, following reports of a reported stabbing. According to officials, an adult man was found dead inside his bedroom unit at the apartment complex.

The initial call for service originated from a female resident who ran to a neighbor for help, stating that her friend was bleeding out inside the unit. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased male and confirmed he had sustained trauma injuries. The severity of these injuries prompted authorities to classify the death as a homicide rather than an accidental or natural cause.

Detectives spent hours processing the scene on Thursday afternoon, searching for physical evidence and interviewing witnesses related to the incident. Investigators also questioned the woman who sought help from her neighbor during the emergency response. As of Friday, July 17, police have not publicly identified the victim or released his name.

Law enforcement officials stated that no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active as detectives continue to gather information and analyze evidence collected from the scene. Police are urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to contact the Casselberry Police Department.
