> Florida Lotto results for August 8 show a $6 million win claimed at a Sunoco station, following a historic $800 million Mega Millions payout from Bradenton earlier in the week.

## Las claves

- A Florida player won a six million dollar prize during the August eight Lotto drawing.
- The winning ticket was claimed at a Sunoco store following an earlier record win in Bradenton on August sixth.
- Larger prizes require winners to visit regional offices for security verification and proper processing.

Florida Lottery officials confirmed that a player won the $6 million prize in the August 8 drawing, with the winning ticket claimed at a Sunoco convenience store. This recent win follows closely on the heels of a historic event earlier in the week when another Florida resident cashed an $800 million Mega Millions jackpot from a Wawa location in Bradenton.

### Recent Lottery Activity Surges

The August 6, 2026, drawing for the main Florida Lotto game resulted in no grand prize winner, with the estimated jackpot rolling over to approximately $85 million. However, players found success on Saturday, Aug. 8, when a single ticket matched all six numbers to secure the top prize of $6 million. The winning number combinations were identified as 4-10-27-39-43 and Quick Pick for the Florida Lotto Powerball.

### Bradenton Mega Millions Record

The local attention on lottery winnings has been heightened by a massive payout earlier in August. On Aug. 6, an unnamed individual claimed $800 million from the Mega Millions jackpot after purchasing their ticket at a Wawa convenience store in Bradenton. This prize represented one of the largest single lottery jackpots in United States history, a story we covered in [Florida Lottery Records Show Six Mega Millions Wins Totaling $3.76 Billion](/noticia/florida-lottery-records-show-six-mega-millions-wins-totaling-376-billion).

### Claiming Procedures and Security

The Florida Lottery has established specific protocols for claiming large prizes to ensure security and proper verification. For winnings exceeding $600,000, winners are required to visit a regional lottery office rather than purchasing locations. The Bradenton Mega Millions winner was directed to the Southwest Regional Office in Fort Myers.
